Immigration
The US is the land of immigrants
Unless you’re Native American, at some point, all of our ancestors came to the shores of this country as immigrants. America’s horrendous habit of vilifying the newest set of immigrants should be put to rest forever.
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
-Emma Lazarus
We still believe in this idea. The idea, that in America, you can make the most of yourself in the land of opportunity. Our country is vast, and is still largely untamed in the middle. There is room for more Americans if we build new cites, have bold ideas, and take action. Those who come illegally, or do harm, should be sent home after due process has been served. Those seeking asylum should have their requests processed and decided upon in a timely manner. We can and should be doing better at our southern border. A wall isn’t the answer. More judges, drone surveillance and compassion is.
After the atrocities seen at the hands of ICE, CBP and DHS, it is our position that the agencies should no longer exist. They were created in the wake of 9/11 as a knee jerk reaction to those tragic events. Their brazen lawlessness has made them the modern day Gestapo/Stasi. America is not and never will be, a place where you must carry papers around or you get sent to an interment camp. To do so would be an affront to the core idea of America, that being freedom.
This should also not have to be said due to its obviousness, but we will say it anyway. No more murders of innocent civilians. No more kids in cages. No more concentration camps. No more El Salvadorian prisons. No more deportations without due process. No more ripping families apart. No more lawlessness from federal agents PERIOD.

Frequently Asked Questions
What about DACA?
These are people who have known no other home than the US. They were brought here as children. To send them back to some supposed country of origin would be cruel and un-American. Take each person and process them individually. If they are suitable for the US, then give them a reasonable way to earn citizenship.
What about H1-B visas?
Our visa system should not be used to supply businesses with cheap labor that won’t complain, for fear of deportation. We need to revamp our visa system to allow for flexibility for holders. There also needs to be a reassessment of quota levels and difficulty obtaining visas.
What about the gold card policy?
America is not a VIP suite. It is a place where people who want to be free… live. That’s who we are as a nation. Pay to play policies like this are a symptom of rot the ultra elite build for themselves.
